A Journey of Leadership
Small Beginnings traces one leader's unexpected journey from a small-town upbringing to becoming a college president. Through honest reflection and authentic storytelling, Quentin Wright shares the mentors, challenges, and pivotal moments that shaped his path to leadership. This book is not a roadmap for designing a campus, but rather a companion for emerging leaders preparing for their own endeavor—a reminder that every obstacle faced and every lesson learned is preparation for the purpose ahead.

Meet Quentin Wright
Quentin Wright is a higher education leader with more than twenty years of experience as an instructor and administrator. Throughout his career, he has served three large community college systems in a variety of roles, from part-time and full-time instructor to academic dean, vice president, and interim vice chancellor in both Academic Affairs and Student Success.
Beyond higher education, he has served on advisory and governing boards for community organizations focused on economic development. What he is most proud of, however, is being a husband of more than twenty years to Tierra, and a father to Amaya and Victoria.
